Andrews Engineering (Lombard, IL) seeks an Environmental Engineer to perform quality assurance oversight for the construction of environmental projects involving pollution control technology. Specific duties will include: performing engineering calculations; compiling engineering documentation; direct communication as a project manager with engineering technician personnel involved in environmental engineering for compiling field documentation; direct communication with technical personnel to prepare designs or operational plans; understanding required permits or plan sheet requirements for environmental systems; recognizing deviations in construction from permitted requirements and determining need for correction or alternative solutions; preparing written documentation for environmental systems; preparing permit modifications for environmental systems. Will be required to occasionally travel to job sites within the United States, including for overnight stays.

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Civil Engineering, and a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Environmental Engineering, plus 2 years of experience in the job offered, as a Civil Engineer, Engineer, or similar engineering experience. Specific experience must include: Autodesk AutoCAD; ability to read CAD drawings; using environmental software; performing quality assurance at construction sites; preparing environmental and engineering reports; designing environmental systems; and obtaining permits for environmental systems. Must be willing to occasionally travel to job sites within the United States, including for overnight stays.
